The National leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC has been
urged to wade into the lingering faceoff between Governor Hope
Uzodimma of Imo State and Senator Rochas Okorocha to avoid further break down of law and order in the state.
The call was made by some youths under the aegis of Concerned Youths for Justice and Rule of Law, Rivers State chapter, at a media conference
in Port Harcourt the State capital.
The youths condemned alleged molestation of Governor Okorocha by agents of the Imo State Government.
Leader of the group, Mr. Godwin Kaneyikun explained that such attacks had the capacity to add to the
security challenges already been experienced in the country.
Mr. Kaneyikun who stressed that Youths for Justice and Rule of Law
condemns in strong terms the face off between the two political
leaders appealed to Governor Hope Uzodimma to follow laid
down legal means in dealing with any grievances against the former Governor.
The group noted that ongoing demolition of business premises allegedly owned by Former Governor Okorocha or anyone connected to his family was an act of personal vendetta that
would only create more hardship and job losses to the citizens of Imo
