Nasarawa State First Lady, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule has called for decisive measures towards tackling the rising cases of malaria in the state.
Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule made the call while playing host to a delegation from the State Malaria Elimination Programme in her office in Goverment House, Lafia
According to the First Lady, the high rate of maternal and child mortality due to malaria in the State was becoming alarming hence the need for collective behavioural change to tackle the menace.
Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule however pledged to support the programme to step up campaigns for elimination of malaria in the state.
Leader of the Malaria Elimination Programme in Nasarawa State, Dr. Ibrahim Alhasan said their visit to the first lady was to strengthen collaboration in the fight against malaria.
