Women have been enjoined to pay more attention towards monitoring movements and activities of their children as part of efforts towards checking cases of criminality and insecurity during and after the Eid-el-fitr celebration.
Wife of former Governor of Nasarawa State, Hajiya Salamatu Almakura made the call in an interview with newsmen after observing Eid-el-fitr prayers in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.
Hajiya Salamatu Almakura stated that women have greater roles to play in tackling insecurity as according to her, being mothers, they are in a better position to influence the decision of their children.
She stressed the need for close monitoring of children especially the company they keep during the sallah celebration.
