Wife of a Member of the House of Representatives representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency of the FCT, Mrs Christiana Micah Jiba has been laid to rest in Damagaza Village, Garki Abuja.
Speaking during the funeral ceremony at ECWA Church, Damagaza, the Pastor in charge, Reverend John Ibrahim advised Nigerians to live a life worthy of emulation.
Reverend Ibrahim who described death as inevitable urged Nigerians to desist from sin.
He therefore enjoined Christians and non Christians to shun evil and be committed to the service of God and humanity.
In a remark, the husband of the deceased, Mr Micah Jiba described the 26 years with his late wife as rewarding and fruitful.
Mr Micah Jiba said his late wife contributed her quota to the growth of women through her various pet projects.
The Lawmaker who expressed gratitude to his people, colleagues and those who commiserated with him stressed the need for people to always put God first in all their endeavours.
In their separate condolence remarks, the Chairman of AMAC, Alhaji Adamu Candido and former Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Mr Musa Dikko described the deceased as a good wife and industrious woman who contributed immensely to the progress of her community.
They prayed God to grant Mr Micah Jiba and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss
The funeral church service was attended by present and former members of the National Assembly, Area Council Chairmen, Traditional and Community Leaders among others.
