Taraba State To Strengthen Ties With Adamawa State

Taraba State Government says it will strengthen its relations with Adamawa State.

The Governor, Darius Ishaku stated this when he received a delegation of the Adamawa State Government which came to condole him on the death of the former Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan.

He described Jummai Alhassan as a honest and wonderful woman.

“She was an honest person. If she said she was supporting you, she will do so wholeheartedly” Gov Ishaku stated.

Gov Ishaku said after the election in 2019, Senator Aisha told him that she was ready to work with him in the interest of the people of Taraba State and she remained committed to that promise until her death.

Earlier the leader of the delegation from Adamawa state led by the state Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar described the death of Hajiya Aisha as the loss of an icon.

“Taraba state has lost an icon, a mother in a million, one who was very kind and generous” Abubakar added

He prayed God to give Gov Ishaku and the entire people of Taraba State the fortitude to bear the loss.

A letter of condolence from the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri was also presented to Gov Ishaku by the leader of the delegation.
