The one month strike embarked by the staff of Public Complaints Commission on non payment of National minimum wage arrears has been called off
This was made known by the Chief Commissioner, Mr Chille Igbawua while addressing staff and union members at the Headquarters, in Abuja.
The one month strike embarked by staff of the Public Complaints Commission was to drive home their demand for payment of the National Minimum Wage arrears.
Addressing staff and union members, the Chief Commissioner of Public Complaints Commission, Mr Chille Igbawua told staff that money had already been released for payment of the arrears.
Chief Igbawua further informed the staff that the payment would commence immediately.
He also assured staff that other outstanding claims had been captured in the 2021 budget of the organisation.
On his part, the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Civil Service Union, FCT Council, Comrade Isa Degri thanked the Chief Commissioner, Mr Chille Igbawua and the management team for standing by them in their struggle.
Comrade Degri urged staff to reciprocate the gesture of government by discharging their duties effectively.
