Socio Cultural Group Wants Youths To Shun Violence, Promote Peace

A Sociocultural Group in Nasarawa State, Eggon Cultural Development Association has called on youths to continue to be vanguards of peace and harmonious coexistence among the diverse groups in the country.

National President of the Association, Pastor Wilberforce Alaku made the call during the inauguration of a seven man caretaker Committee of the Eggon Youth Movement in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

Pastor Wilberforce Alaku urged the youths to take advantage of their strength to explore ways of moving the country forward in unity and peace rather than indulging in destructive tendencies.

Caretaker Committee Chairman, Eggon Youth Movement, Comrade Alex Maku stated that youths remained the backbone of any society hence the need for goverment to provide more opportunities for them to participate in governance.

Comrade Alex Maku enjoined the youths to respect their leaders and obey constituted authorities at all times to pave way for peace and development.
