In Kano State six Judges for the High Court have been sworn in.
The Attorney General of the State, Muhammad Lawan, who administered the oath of office and allegiance on the new judges at the Government House urged them to ensure quick dispensation of justice.
The State Governor, [Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said the new judges were sworn in based on merit and competence, having passed the accreditation tests and recommendations of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
He said that the appointment would increase the number of judges and ensure justice and fair hearing in the State.
The Governor stressed the need for the three arms of Government to cooperate and work in synergy for the common good of the people.
He also advised the judges to uphold the integrity and ethics of the profession.
The newly sworn-in judges are: Abubakar Maiwada, Maryam Sabo, Zuwaira Yusuf A, Jamilu Sulaiman, Sunusi Ma’aji and Hafsat Yayha Sani.
