The National Assembly says the fourth National Legislative Health Summit will agitate for attainment of Universal Health Coverage in the country.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Health, Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe stated this at a joint news briefing of the Senate and House of Representatives in Abuja.
He explained that the Summit would discuss issues relating to adequate funding of the health sector for the wellbeing of all Nigerians.
On the local manufacturing of the COVID 19 Vaccines, Senator Oloriegbe said that about 10 billion naira was allocated for improving the local production of covid-19 vaccines in addition to the funds allocated to NAFDAC to strengthen its ability to test.
Senator Oloriegbe urged Nigerians to subject themselves to receive the covid-19 vaccines, which he said had been verified by the regulatory Agencies.
