A bill for Establishment of the Federal University of Education, Ankpa, Kogi State has passed second reading at the Senate.
The bill was sponsored by the Senator representing Kogi East, Isah Jibrin during plenary in Abuja.
He said the bill would make comprehensive provision for due management and administration of the institution.
In a lead debate on the bill, Senator Jibrin who explained that the University if established would take over the structure of the present Kogi State College of Education , Ankpa, noted that the University would provide robust education for the citizenry.
In a remark, the Deputy President of the Senate, ovie _ Omo Agege, who presided over plenary referred the bill to the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and Tertiary Education Trust Fund for further legislative input and return in four weeks.
