The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has reaffirmed its Determination in minimizing Road Accidents through rigorous sensitization of Road Users geared towards achieving set objectives.
The territorial coordinator, Sanusi Ado stated this at the commencement of a sensitisation campaign tagged “operation Safe Eid el Kabir” held at the “Tashan DanGwauro” Motor Park along Zaria Road with the FRSC, NSCDC, KAROTA, NRCS, NURTW, SEMA, Others
Sanusi Ado Explained that the idea behind the campaign was to provide an avenue for NEMA to complement efforts of the FRSC in minimizing road traffic crashes along major roads and to ensure prompt intervention.
According to him, the joint exercise would provide a platform for sensitizing road users on driving carefully at all times, adherence to all safety measures and strict enforcement of traffic rules and regulations.
During the event a Display of Rescue equipment in the Incident Response Vehicle was carried out and Fliers distributed to drivers & motorists in the park.
The Territotial Coordinator expressed NEMA’s appreciation to all stakeholders and appealed for more collaboration which he said is key to recording greater success.
