SALLAH – Gov Bello Urges Muslims To Imbibe Virtues Of Peace, Sacrifice

The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has felicitated with citizens of Kogi State and Muslims across the world on this year’s celebration of the Eid Kabir, urging them to persist in Love, kindness and peaceful co-existence.

Governor Bello’s message is contained in a statement, by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammed Onogwu.

It says that the lessons of sacrifice, patience and faith as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim in the cause of his earthly journey, should be imbibed by Muslims.

The statement urges that good gestures and acts of kindness should be extended to those who are less privileged as an extension of Allah’s Love and benevolence to humanity.

It expresses that Kogi State Government will continue to ensure a safe environment where everyone can celebrate such a joyous season to the fullest, noting that citizens must conduct themselves peacefully in the cause of the festivity.

The Statement asserts that Kogi State has enjoyed a more robust integration between religion and ethnic differences, adding that such could be replicated across the nation if citizens see themselves first as Nigerians before any other disparities.

According to the statement, periods like this, faithfuls should offer prayers for the peace of our dear nation and also for leadership across all levels.

The statement wishes citizens a peaceful celebration, noting that Bello’s government remains committed to delivering a state which is on the path of progress and development.
