The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC has deployed Thirty-five Thousand Regular and Special Marshals for effective traffic control during the Eid- El Kabir Celebration across the country.
The Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem stated this while briefing news men on the 10: day Sallah Special Operations.
Mr Bisi Kazeem explained that adequate logistics have been put in place while HELP AREAS have been established along Fifty Two Critical Corridors for prompt medical attention and removal of obstruction during emergency.
The FRSC spokesman maitaned that the Marshals have been directed to enforce strict compliance to Covid 19 protocols and other traffic rules
While assuring the motoring public of their safety on the highways, Mr Bisi Kazeem said the newly introduced Body and Vehicle Cameras scheme would also be deployed to check assaults on Marshals and other information for decision making.
He appealed to Motorists particularly commercial drivers to give maximum cooperation to Marshals as over Two Hundred Mobile Courts would be in session to prosecute traffic offenders.
Mr Bisi Kazeem reiterated the Commission’s Continous working relationship with stakeholders in the Transport Sector towards reducing the rate of road accidents in the country.
