Remain Committed To Peace & Unity Of Nig – NCPC Boss To Middle Belt

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Reverend Yakubu Pam has called on the people of the Middle Belt to remain committed to the Peace and Unity of the country.

He made the call while playing host to executive members of the Middle Belt Journalists Forum who paid him a visit in Abuja.

While Commending the leadership role being played by some middle belt Elders in championing an indivisible Nigeria , Reverend Yakubu Pam appealed to the media to promote peaceful coexistence.

Reverend Yakubu Pam who described members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm as the conscience of the people stressed that true journalism is the one that caters for the interest of the voiceless and the vulnerable.

He commended the media whom he described as ” a dependable ally in the Nigeria project urged them to be resolute and focused in their reportage.

Reverend Yakubu Pam assured them that the Commission would partner with the body in advancing their course.

Earlier, President of the Middle Belt Journalists Forum, Mr Jonathan Ipaa stated that they were at the NCPC to show solidarity to the Executive Secretary, his management and staff.

He averred that the NCPC boss is a man with impeccable track record in the Lord’s vineyard and a man of peace.

Mr Ipaa however sought the prayers, support and presence of the NCPC boss at the proposed maiden “Awareness Retreat Conference on the Middle Belt struggle scheduled for next month in Jos Plateau State.
