PRP Inaugurates A 35 Man Committee To Review Govt Policies

The People’s Redemption Party, PRP has inaugurated a thirty five member advisory committee to review existing government policies to impact positively on the citizenry.
At the occasion in Abuja, the Chairman of the party, Mallam Falalu Bello said the committee would be sub grouped into ten for effective coordination to achieve its mandate.
Mallam Bello advised the committee to take cognizance of the provisions in the Nigerian constitution for positive changes in the nation’s electoral system.

Mallam Falalu explained Further “members of the Advisory Committee are advised to take full cognizance of the many progressive provisions of Chapter Two of the Nigerian Constitution 1999 [as amended] in carrying-out their assignment.
In the same vein, the committee must take cognizance of the availability and/or otherwise of requisite material and human resources as well as the dynamics of changing realities in Nigeria’s external environment.

In his words “I will assure members of the committee that on its part, the NEC of the PRP shall be always ready to render all possible assistance to ensure success of the assignment. It is also expected that this assignment shall take not more than three months. All the sub-Committees should hand in their group reports by the end of the month of November, 2020.”

In a remark, chairman of the committee and former chairman of Independent Electoral Commission, Professor
Attahiru Jega who pledged commitment to deliver on its mandate advised Nigerians to always participate actively in the nation’s electoral process.
“Every body needs to contribute in the cleansing of politics of this country, there should be no fence sitters our future is at stake, we should not allow bad people to continue to rule and misgovern us”.
The committees are expected to submit recommendations to the party within three months.
