The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has urged the Muslims to promote messages of peace, love and National unity as the Holy Month of Ramadan begins.
Lawan in a statement by his special Adviser on media, Ola Awoniyi urges Muslims to use the Holy Month as a period of fasting, sober reflection, self-discipline and sacrifice.
It also emphasises the need for Nigerians to remember our country in prayers as we seek to overcome the challenges we are facing as a nation adding that
Allah is the Almighty, kind and greater than all human problems.
The statement stresses the importance of peace, love, generosity and unity during this sacred period.
It cautions Muslims to always observe the COVID 19 protocols in our spiritual and other activities during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
It says the President of the Senate wishes the Muslims a blissful Ramadan.
