Politicians have been advised to adhere strictly to their electioneering campaign promises to the electorates for development of the Nation’s democracy.
The immediate Past Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Alh. Abdullahi Galadima stated this while featuring on “Politics Today” a Kapital FM current affairs programme in Abuja.
Alh. Galadima advised politicians to take cognisance of available resources within their reach before making campaign promises.

In nominating candidates that would represent the interests of their parties and by extension the country.
He also called on political office holders and politicians to accord priority to people oriented programmes as a way of providing dividends of democracy to the citizens.
In his contribution on the programme, a Political Analyst, Mr. Ayo Akanji called on the electorate to ensure they vote for only credible persons.
Mr. Akanji who stressed the need for politicians to fulfill their electioneering campaign promises said reviewing the performances of politicians and political office holders would help promote accountability and transparency in governance.
He therefore urged the electorate to always hold their leaders accountable while in office.
The guests however emphasized the need for political office holders to run an open door administration to enable the people access to register their complaints, demands and offer suggestions for rapid development.
