Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values Mr Olusegun Odebunmi, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving and signing into law the Act establishing the Federal Polytechnic Ayede in his constituency, Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State.
In a statement, the Lawmaker who notes that intensed lobby led to the signing of the Act establishing the Polytechnic said the institution was among those that were established when former President Goodluck Jonathan was acting President in 2009.
It states that President Buhari also approved a take-off grant of two Billion naira for the new Polythecnic from the TETFund for immediate take-off.
According to the statement, the development will foster socio-economic development of the region through Job creation, academic activities and transformation of the society.
While congratulating the People of Ogo Oluwa, Ogbomoso, and Oyo State it urges the people to cooperate with the Fedeal Government in ensuring the stability and sucess of the institution.
The statement also says that the lawmaker will use his influence to facilitate more infrastructual development for the institution and his Constituency
