Plateau State To Commence Flight Operations To Abuja.

The Plateau State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a private Airline for commencement of flight operations between Jos, the state capital and Abuja.

Signing on behalf of the State Government, the Secretary to the Government of the State Professor Danladi Atu said the flights, which would commence in two weeks, has a significant value to the people of the State.

Professor Atu said the flights operations would open up the state for an economic rebirth, business opportunities and attract visitors to the State, which is regarded as the home of peace and tourism.

He noted that the flights would help in air transportation which is faster and safer, considering the dangers encountered on our roads.

The General Manager operations and business development of the airline Mr Raymond Omodiagbe said the agreement would afford the people of Plateau state to connect with other States of the federation as it was presently operating scheduled flights to 12 airports in the country.

Mr Omodiagbe expressed the believe that they would provide the required services to meet the needs of the state.
