The Plateau State House of Assembly has called on the Executive to expedite action on the formation of the Anti Land grabbing board to facilitate the process of Land recovery.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Information Philip Dasun, who stated this while addressing the press on some resolutions of the House, noted that Governor Lalong had addressed five of the six items they put forward which they expected him to act upon in the last two weeks.
They include visit to affected communities, payment of hospital bills of those affected in the Conflict, provision of relief materials and renewed commitment to improve the security challenges as well as implementing the land grappling law.
The only item remaining, according to Dasun, is the suspension of the planned Adhoc teachers recruitment and replace it with the Vigilante and local hunters.
The house also applauded the Federal Government for sending a team at different levels to commiserate with the state on the recent crisis and appreciated the Youths for standing by the House.
The House expressed support to the leadership of the speaker Abok Nuhu Ayuba, noting that they will not condone any act of insecurity henceforth.
