Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, says, the successes recorded at the on-going P&ID arbitration case in the United Kingdom was a product of collective institutional collaboration and not attributable to a single individual personality.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media to the AGF, Dr. Umar Gwandu,in Abuja.
The Attorney General of Federation who stated this on a TV program, while discussing the recent developments on Nigeria’s arbitration in the P&ID contract agreement, explained that, no personality could claim victory associated with an institution.
According to him, in addition to Office of the AGF, the Central Bank of Nigeria and other related agencies played vital roles in the processes that led to the victory, adding that investigations were ongoing and those involved in the sham contract would be made to face the wrath of the law.
The statement, says, with the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, the era of impunity embedded in the system is over and a new culture of uncompromising stance for the public interest has come to stay.
