The Director General of the Progressives Governors Forum, PGF, Alhaji Salihu Lukman, has described APC members opposing the planned membership registation and revalidation excerise of the party as enemies of democracy and development of the Country.
This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Director General of the PGF.
It notes that the threat of a legal action against the excerise by some members is a ploy to discredit and undermine the efforts of the Governor Mai Mala Buni led caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee.
According to the statement the exercise will reposition the party for future democractic engagements.
The statement further explains that the plan to conduct the revalidation exercise was to assist the party in resolving and checking any leadership crisis in the party in the future.
It also appeals to stakeholders of the party to have a rethink and embrace the excerise for progress of the party and the country.
The statement also commends President Buhari for supporting the Governor Buni led caretaker committee to carry out the excerise across the Country.
