The Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Administration Mr Olusade Adesola wants government at all levels to prioritize Youth Inclusiveness for sustainable development.
He made the call when some members of the Nigerian Youth Parliament led by the minority Leader, Daniel Uwadia visited him in Abuja.
Mr Adesola explained that when the youths are effectively carried along in all spheres of human endeavor restiveness and other vices would be reduced to the barest minimum.
According to him, most of the challenges plaguing the country were as a result of neglect of youths by successive governments and other critical stakeholders.
He described youths as veritable assets of every nation, due to the key roles they play.
In his words , ” from my days in the ministry of youths and Sports I have come to the conclusion that youths are strategic to the development of every society. The youths have been very resourceful to me and the ministry as well. Even here at the FCTA the youths remain very strategic to the development of the FCT”
Earlier in his speech, the minority Leader, Hon. Daniel Uwadia who presented a congratulatory plaque to the Permanent Secretary, said the gesture was in recognition of his sterling qualities that helped to motivate the youths.
Uwadia used the occasion to appeal to youths across the country to shun acts capable of jeopardizing the peace in the country.
