NYSC : Over 2000 Corps Members Pass Out In Nassarawa

18 February 2021 By Joey Anzaku.

Over two thousand Batch ‘A’ corps members deployed to Nasarawa State have been advised to desist from any form of protest against constituted authority.

State co-ordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Mr Stephen Dewan, made the call at the passing out parade of the twenty-twenty Batch ‘A’ corps members in Keana Local Government Area of the state.

Before issuing them the certificates of national service, Mr Dewan expressed satisfaction over their adherence to all the COVID-nineteen preventive measures at their Places of Primary Assignments, and enjoined them to maintain the tempo for the safety of their Communities and country at large.

Mr Stephen Dewan further called on the corps members not to invest their time and skills in any form of protesting against constituted authority, rather to engage themselves in agricultural activities in order to be self-employed.

The NYSC Boss therefore admonished them to board vehicles only from registered motor parks to ensure their safety.

Mr Stephen Dewan while thanking the Osana of Keana, noted that the scheme harvested four hundred Kg of rice and two hundred Kg of millet from the farm land the royal father gave to the scheme in twenty-twenty.

The Osana of Keana, Abdullahi Amegwa Agbo The Third, appreciated the corps members for the peaceful service year in the state, and enjoined them to be outstanding ambassadors of their respective states.

The royal father encouraged them not to wait and depend on white collar jobs but use the skills they learnt in camp to be useful to themselves and the society.
