NSCDC In Kogi Deploys 2000 Personnel For Hitch Free Eid el Adha

Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed two thousand personnel across the State for a hitch free Sallah celebration.

State Commandant of the Corp, Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara made this known to newsmen in Lokoja.

Mafara said the Command had identified flash points in the State and deployed men of the Rapid Response Squad Operations and anti-vandals Squad to the locations to provide maximum security for lives, property and travellers within the State.

He charged the men and officers deployed to operate in line with the core values of the corps as anyone found wanting would be punished accordingly.

The Commandant appealed to the people of the State to be security conscious and support the Corps with relevant information towards nipping crimes in the bud.

According to him, the Corps is in constant synergy with other security agencies in the State which led to recent arrest of kidnappers and armed robbers in the State.

He commended Governor Yahaya Bello for being proactive on security matters and his unflinching support to agencies in Kogi State.

While calling on all Muslims to be moderate in their celebration assured of the Command’s readiness for a safer Kogi State.
