NSCDC Arrests Producer Of Adulterated Engine Oil In Kano

The Nigeria security And Civil Defence Corps, Kano Command, has arrested one Ali Ibrahim for producing adulterated lubricating oil(engine oil) in Rangaza, Ungoggo LGA.

This is contained in a statement signed by the public Relations officer of the Command, ASC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi in Kano.

The Statement explains that 25 drums containing 200 litres of adulterated engine oil were found and confiscated in the factory which is being run in an uncompleted building with drums labeled with Total, Mobil and Conoil stickers.

It states that the operation was successfully carried out by operatives of the Anti Vandalism Unit of the Corps following a tip off by staff of the Standard Organization of Nigeria, Kano office who also participated in the operation.

According to the statement the warehouse where the illegal business is being run has since been sealed off.

It states that the suspect, Ali Ibrahim (aka mirror) is currently in custody of the NSCDC for further investigation after which legal action will be taken against him.

The statement says the NSCDC, Kano command reiterates its commitment in Curtailing the illicit business and other forms of criminal acts in the state.
