Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has arrested six persons for allegedly vandalising public infrastructure.
Parading the suspects in Lafia, Public Relations Officer of NSCDC in the State Muhammed Suraju said they were arrested during a routine surveillance on private assets and public infrastructure during the yuletide.
Suraju explained that the suspects were arrested while loading vandalised railroad tiles and other components along the rail line in Barkin Abdullahi village, a suburb of Lafia the Nasarawa State capital.
The NSCDC spokesperson added that the suspects had confessed to the crime and would be charged to court.
