The Federal Capital Territory Administration says there are no hoarded palliative items in various stores across the territory as being speculated from some quarters.
This is contained in a statement by the S.A Media to the FCT Minister of State, Mr Austin Elemue.
The statement says security agents are being deployed to man strategic areas where the palliatives are kept.
According to the Statement the FCT Administration had in the past few months distributed all items procured and donated to the Area Councils, Community Associations, Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Professional bodies/associations in a transparent manner.
The statement further warned members of the public not be lured into criminality under the guise of ‘hoarded’ palliative food items in the territory.
According to the statement, the warehouses are supposed to stock supplies for emergency response including the recurrence of COVID-19 cases.
