The Nigerian Armed Forces has reiterated its commitment to sustaining its momentum and operational tactics in addressing all security challenges in the Country.
The Coordinator Defence Media Operations Defence Headquarters, Major General John Enenche who stated this in Abuja during the briefing on the Scorecard of Military operations for twenty twenty, said over two thousand criminals were eliminated, over one thousand arrested and eight hundred and sixty four kidnapped victims rescued across the country.
He explained that within the period troops engaged in series of land, maritime and air operations which yeilded great successes.
General Enenche stated that troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in the North West, Operation Lafiya Dole in the North East, Operation Safe Haven, Whirl Stroke, Thunder
in the North Central, Operations Delta Safe and Awatse in the South South and South West Zones eliminated a total of two thousand four hundred and three criminals, rescued eight hundred and sixty four kidnapped victims, recovered nine million six hundred and eighty four thousand, seven hundred and ninety seven litres of stolen Automative Gas oil, thirty three million, five hundred and sixteen thousand stolen Dual Purpose Kerosene, forty six thousand, five hundred and eighty one point eight barrels of stolen crude oil and twenty two million, eight hundred and eighty one thousand, two hundred and fifty seven litres of stolen premium motor spirit across the country.
The Coordinator who stressed that it was against global best practices to empower terrorists and other criminals with vital information about the military, maintained that the Armed Forces would remain committed to safeguarding the territorial integrity of the country.
General Enenche added that the military had put necessary measures in place to ensure that the welfare and healthcare needs of troops were met
The Coordinator solicited more support from all stakeholders to sustain the successes achieved so far.
