The Niger State government has announced the reopening of schools across the state.
According to the Commissioner for Education, Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu, schools are to resume for third term on the fourth of October.
She explained that to prepare for safe reopening, all teachers are expected to return to schools from the 29th of September.
Hajiya Hannatu Salihu explained that students in Junior Secondary School classes one and two are to attend morning session while those in Senior Secondary classes one and two are to attend evening session.
The Commissioner maintained that Public primary school classes one to three are to operate in the morning while those between four and six are scheduled to attend classes in the evening.
She added that monitoring committees have been set up at all levels to ensure COVID-19 protocols are adhered to.
