Nig@60 : Lawmaker Expresses Hope For A Better, Stronger Nation

A former senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, and Leader of the 7th Senate, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has described the theme of this year’s independence “togetherness” as crucial to the corporate existence of the Nation.

Senator Ndoma-Egba who was speaking in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Abuja, ahead of the 60th independence anniversary, said Nigeria as a nation had overcome many challenges such as the civil war and other crisis, and remained united.

The 7th Senate Leader attributed the numerous challenges facing the country, especially insecurity to poor economic policies and recommended ways to curb the menace.

Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba while enumerating some of the achievements of President Buhari to include removal of the fuel subsidy, added that the monies used in subsidizing fuel should be deployed into infrastructure, to boost the economy and ease the burden.

He however urged the present administration to come up with people friendly polices that would benefit the citizenry.
