Nig@60: Ex-APGA Presidential Candidate Supports Calls For Restructuring

The Former Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Retired Major General John Gbor says restructuring remains one of the avenues to achieve a better, greater and prosperous new Nigeria.
Retired Major General Gbor stated this while speaking with newsmen on Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary in Abuja.
The Former APGA Presidential Candidate observed that the present system being operated by Nigeria required urgent review at all levels of governance for inclusiveness and national development.
He described the theme of this year’s Independence Anniversary “Togetherness”, as crucial to the corporate existence of the country.
Retired Major General Gbor said Nigeria as a nation had overcome many challenges hence the need to sustain her corporate existence through good governance.
He attributed the numerous challenges facing the country especially insecurity to poor economic policies.
While identifying corruption as one of the bane of the nation’s development, Retired Major General Gbor called for more stringent measures that would reduce corruption to the barest minimum in the country.
He urged Nigerians to love one another irrespective of religion political, social or ethnic affiliations for the country to attain greatness.
Retired Major General Gbor also advised leaders at all levels to lead their followers with the fear of God and ensure even distribution of resources for the development of mankind.
The Former APGA Presidential Candidate also stressed the need for those behind killings, banditry and insecurity to have a rethink, love the country and support efforts aimed at bringing peace to every part of the country.
He equally emphasized the need for the Federal Government to ensure justice, equity and transparency in governance.
