Nig Receives £4.2m Loot From Family Members Of Ibori

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, AGF, Abubakar Malami, says the Federal Government has received the £4.2m loot recovered from family members of former Delta State Governor, James Ibori.

This is contained in a statement by the Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations to the AGF, Dr. Umar Gwandu in Abuja.

According to the statement, the amount has been credited into the designated Federal Government account with the naira equivalent of the amount as of 10th May, 2021.

It states that the development is in recognition of the prudent management of recovered loot in execution of public oriented projects.

Malami had signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the repatriation of the Ibori loot on behalf of the Federal Government.
