The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its commitment in providing a befitting Accomodation for officers and men, with the aim of boosting their morale to discharge their duties diligently.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Burutai stated this while inaugurating the newly constructed 3 blocks of 15 units officers transit Accomadation at the 73 Battalion, Janguza Barracks, Kano.
General Tukur Burutai represented by the General Commanding Officer, 1 Division, Major General Usman Mohammad said improving the welfare of Officers and men of the Army was among the top priorities of the current leadership of the Nigerian Army.
He said the projects were constructed under the Chief of Army Staff special intervention project aimed at alleviating Accomodation problems within the barracks.
He noted that other projects were ongoing in the Division in Kaduna, saying the zeal and commitment exhibited by the Chief of Army Staff was highly commendable.
In his remark the Commander, 3 Brigade, Brigadier General Bamidele Alabi said the project would assist immensely in addressing the Accomadation challenges in Janguza Barracks.
He urged officer and men of the 73 battalion janguza barracks Kano to resiprocate the gesture by being committed to their assigned responsibilities.
