Nig. @ 60:AEPB Restates Commitment To Cleaner Capital City

Abuja Environmental Protection Board, AEPB has restated its commitment to a more cleaner and environmental friendly Capital City of Nigeria.
The Director of AEPB, Alhaji Baba Shehu Lawan stated this in Abuja while speaking with newsmen on Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary in Abuja.
Alhaji Shehu Lawan said AEPB had over the years been embarking on evacuation of solid and liquid waste effectively towards making Abuja, the nation’s capital a befitting city to beat in both Africa and the world in general.
He said the Board had also been collaborating with necessary stakeholders towards restoring the master plan of Abuja in the area of environmental cleaniness.
While felicitating with President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of FCT, Mallam Mohammed Bello and residents of the Territory on the occasion of the nation’s 60th Independence Anniversary, Alhaji Shehu Lawan called for the support of all stakeholders towards achieving the objectives of AEPB.
He equally reminded the residents on the need to always obey COVID 19 protocol to put an end to the pandemic in the FCT and Nigeria in general.
On waste to wealth, the Director explained that AEPB was already collaborating with an international Organization in achieving the task in the FCT
He said the FCT Administration under the Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Bello is doing everything possible towards achieving waste to wealth initiative thereby empowering players in the sector.
