NGO Seeks Support Of Nigs To End Illegal Migration & Human Trafficking

Government at all levels, stakeholders and Nigerians have been urged to support the campaign seeking to end illegal migration and human trafficking in Nigeria.

The Executive Director Africa Youth Growth, Dr. Arome Salifu made the call in Abuja while addressing Newsmen on the Project Migration Information Campaign.

According to him, the Migration information campaign project seeks to deliver improved awareness and higher level of understanding on dangers and implications of illegal migration and human trafficking in the country.

Dr. Salifu who stressed the need for Government to put in place measures that would address the menace, said the project would reduce incidences of irregular migration to Europe and deaths recorded on the Mediterranean Sea and Sahara Desert.

The Executive Director, further explained that the Migration Information and Communication Campaign Project was designed primarily to contribute to the reduction in illegal migration and human trafficking in Nigeria through strategic and aggressive advocacies.
