NGO Clamors For Easy Access To Health Services

Well meaning Nigerians have been urged to partner the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH to identify its critical needs towards addressing public health challenges.

The Chief Medical Director of JUTH , Professor Edmund Banwat made the plea when a Non-governmental Organization, Primary Care donated 2 wheel chairs to management of the hospital.

Professor Banwat said there were certain objectives which can not be achieved without the support of people hence the need for effective collaboration.

While commending the NGO for the donation, the Chief Medical Director said the wheel chairs would be used specifically for patient needs.

He therefore appealed to organisations and good spirited individuals to emulate such gestures for the benefit of all.

Earlier, program coordinator, Primary Compassionate Care Mr. Pankat Gurumdung said the aim of the group was to meet the needs of people through its activities.

He explained that part of its activities were directed towards individuals, schools and hospitals as well as mentoring of students in the area of public health.

MR. Gurumdung called on government to provide effective health insurance for easy access to health services .
