A Non Governmental Organization, Young Moms Support Initiative, has appealed to Nigerian Youths to sheath their swords and embrace dialogue as they have registered their demands.

A statement by the founder of the organization, Dr Vivian Sonny-Nsirim, says Government is already taking steps to ensure that their demands are being implemented, noting that no leader will be happy to see its citizens suffer and turn deaf ears to their needs.

“We plead with our children, the youths to please cease violence for now to give government the opportunity to implement their demands”

“We also urge you to stop the destruction of property and lives as anyone who destroys his home will have no place to put his head. Any destruction now would be suffered by the masses, and not the Government “

According to her
“Some Parents had been rendered jobless by the single act of burning the BRT Station in Lagos, Hotels, Supermarkets, Car Parks, to mention but a few. Who will suffer this aftermath? It is still we the citizens. We plead that we all activate our emotional intelligence at this point”.

Dr. Sonny-Nsirim commiserated with families of all those whose children or loved ones and property had been affected due to the EndSARS protests.

“We feel your pains. No family prays to go through such trauma, It is indeed an unfortunate situation and a trying period for us all in Nigeria”

She advised Youths not to allow anyone or group incite them against another person, tribe, religion or ethnic group due to personal agenda.

“Let’s all be wise at this trying period. May God continue to shower us his wisdom and grace to overcome”.

Dr. Sonny-Nsirim also called on the security operatives to display high level of intelligence in the discharge of their duties to avoid aggravating the already heated polity.
