New CG NSCDC Pledges Commitment To Curb Insecurity

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps says it will make judicious use of its human and material resources to tackle Security challenges confronting the Nation .

The new Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi stated this during his inauguration in Abuja .

The new CG who took over as the third substantive commandant General noted that the Corps would justify its statutory existence under his watch and reciprocate Government’s gesture by ensuring that criminals were rooted out of the society and Secure the nation’s critical infrastructure to enhance socio Economic Development .

He stressed that the epoch making event was a manifestation of Government’s efforts towards strenghtening the capacity of the Corps for efficient service delivery .

Dr Audi pledged to ensure a positive culture for a unique identity in the Corps by building on the Corps antecedents for it to be at par with global best practices .

In a remark, the outgoing Acting Commandant General, Dr Hillary Kelechi Madu called on officers and men of the Corps to help the new CG deliver on the Corp’s mandate.

Dr Madu commended the Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for giving him the opportunity to act as the commandant General for a period of one month.
