NCPC To Commence Inspection Of Designated Airports For Pilgrimage

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC is to commence inspection of the approved eight designated international airports across the Country for this year’s pilgrimage to Israel, Greece and Rome.

The Executive Secretary of NCPC, Reverend Yakubu Pam who stated this during a news briefing in Abuja said the measure was to ascertain the readiness of the Commission for the exercise.

Reverend Yakubu Pam maintained that plans are underway by the Federal Government to activate the Bilateral Air Service Agreement between Nigeria and Israel for direct flights from Nigeria to Israel.

The NCPC Executive Secretary stressed that stringent screening measures are being adopted to ensure that guarantors are held responsible for any pilgrim who abscond while in the Holy Land.

He stressed that the Commission would re introduce a special one day prayer and fasting session in Jerusalem for Nigerian pilgrims tagged ‘A day with Jesus’ to seek Divine solutions to challenges in the Country.

Reverend Yakubu Pam however solicited the support of the media as the commission was ready to ensure a hitch free pilgrimage.
