The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC has called on the Federal Medical Committee to develop a protocol in accordance with the Presidential Task Force and international protocols on Covid 19 for Zero mortality in this year’s pilgrimage to Israel, Greece and Rome.
The Executive Secretary of NCPC, Reverend Yakubu Pam who made the call while inaugurating the twelve man medical committee in Abuja urged them to ensure that only prigrims with sound health status were allowed to participate in the holy exercise.
Reverend Pam stressed the need for transparency and proper coordination of medical screening at the State level.
The Chairman for this year’s Federal Medical Committee, Dr. David Atuwo pledged that members would carry out the national assignment diligently.
The committee is expected to coordinate the procurement of drugs for the pilgrimage and handle all medical cases during the exercise from Nigeria to Israel, Rome and Greece.
