National Task Force on Illegal Importation of Small Arms, Ammunitions, Light Weapons and Chemical wants the Northern State Government’s to Support Security Agencies and other relevant stakeholders to address the Security Challenges in the Region.
The Director General of the Organisation Alhaji Musa Muhammad- Katsina who made the call in Abuja while addressing news men said Collective efforts were needed to combat the menace.
The Director General noted that the Organisation had been successfully working with the military to raid some kidnappers dens in the North Central .
He also stressed the need for the National Assembly to expedite action on the National Task Force Bill which has passed second reading so as to strengthen its operation nationwide.
Also Speaking, the Commander Special Squad Aliyu Aminu-Wayas maintained that the Force had adequately deployed over Seven thousand trained personnel to support the Nigeria Police in checking spate of kidnappings and other security threats in the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa state.
Commander Aminu-Wayas reiterated the organisation’s readiness to support efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari towards ensuring peace, unity and national development.
