NATFORCE Trains Over 300 Personnel To Curb Banditry, Kidnapping, Others

National Task Force on importation of Illegal Arms, Ammunitions, light Weapons and Chemical, NATFORCE wants the Nigeria Police Force back up to carry out a special operation in Niger State.

National Commander Operations, Mr Aliyu Aminu-Wayas who stated this while speaking with news men on influx of foreign bandits into the country through Niger state said a signal from the Inspector General would enable NATFORCE to move into the forest for the crucial assignment.

Mr Aminu-Wayas maintained that over Three Hundred personnel have been trained on Intelligence gathering and are ready to work with Youths and Community Leaders to check the activities of insugents, kidnappers and bandits in Abuja and neighbouring states.

According to the NATFORCE Commander, if urgent steps were not taken the situation may stop Farmers from carrying out Agriculture activities thereby increasing inflation and poverty in the North Central Region.

Mr Aminu-Wayas commended President Muhammadu Buhari for establishment of a National Center for the Control of Small Arms and light Weapons domiciled in the office of the National Security Adviser.

He said NATFORCE under the leadership of Mallam Musa Mohammed-Katsina had been repositioned to complement the Federal Government’s efforts at retrieving all illegal arms in Circulation, ensuring the safety of Nigerans and promoting Peaceful coexistence.
