The National Task Force on Illegal Importation of Arms, Ammunitions Light Weapons and Chemical NATFORCE says adequate personnel have been mobilised and deployed to complement efforts of the Security Agencies for a crime free Easter Celebration in the FCT and neighbouring states.
Commander Special Squad of NATFORCE Mr Aliyu Aminu-Wayas who stated this while speaking with news men during a special operation in Abuja urged community leaders to caution their subjects against engaging in crimes.
Mr Aminu-Wayas while describing the current security situation as worrisome said NATFORCE had been working tirelessly to strengthen its intelligence gathering towards identifiing criminal hide outs and carry out arrest of criminals and their perpetrators in the North Central Region.
He appealed to members to be more productive in the fight against insurgency as the leadership of the force was engaging the National Assembly and the Federal Government for necessary support to enhance its operations.
Mr Aminu-Wayas also called on the Nasarawa State Government to also provide necessary assistance towards tackling insecurity which he said was threatening socio economic development of the state.
The Commandant however stressed the need for the leadership of the organisation at all levels to remain United and avoid any issue that could hamper their resolution to secure lives and property of all Nigerians.
