Over one thousand five hundred batch ‘A’ stream two corps members deployed to Nasarawa State have been sworn-in with a call on them to be patriotic during and after the orientation exercise.
State co-ordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Mr Stephen Gabriel Dewan made the call during the swearing-in at the Orientation Camp in Keffi.
Mr Dewan said the Corps members had been well-behaved since their arrival on camp and called on them to be law abiding during and after the exercise.
The NYSC Boss who explained that security personnel at the camp have been cautioned to ensure visitors get tested for Covid 19 before entry into the camp noted that so far no one had tested positive to the virus.
While thanking Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, for providing maximum security in the camp,Mr Dewan enjoined the Corps members to be patriotic and shun acts that would disrupt the existing peace across the state.
Some of the Corps members: Rosemary Oluseyi, Ismail Seghosime and Imtisal Ado, said it was an honour to serve their father land in Nasarawa State, and pledged to be ambassadors of peace during and after their service year.
A total number of one thousand four hundred and fifty-one corps members, comprising six hundred and thirty-one males and eight hundred and twenty females are expected to serve the compulsory one-year national service in Nasarawa State.
