Nasarawa State Government has commenced training for civil servants on Data Processing as part of measures to increase output .
Declaring the the four day training open in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule said the initiative was part of steps towards injecting new trends emerging in the Information and Communication Technology to enhance service delivery in the Civil Service.
The Governor, represented by the Head of Service, Mr Nicholas Aboki said the ongoing reforms in the Civil Service would be achieved through constant engagements of workers to update them on current happenings.
Director General, Nasarawa State Bureau for Information and Communication Technology, Mallam Shehu Ibrahim said over 200 Data Processing Officers drawn from Ministries, Departments and Agencies are the first set of civil servants to participate in the training.
He stated that the training would focus on how to run e – governance and work from home, how to use zoom applications for meetings and data processing in line with global best practices among others.
