Nassarawa Assembly To Commence Investigation Into Student Unrest In Its Polytechnic

Nasarawa State House of Assembly has commenced investigation into the remote and immediate causes of the recent students unrest at the Isa Mustafa Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia.

At the inaugural sitting of the investigative team in Lafia, Chairman of the state Assembly committee on Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Daniel Ogazi said the exercise was to unravel those behind the protest in the polytechnic and bring them to book.

Rector of the Polytechnic , Dr. Justina Kotso explained that the students destroyed over forty facilities including vehicles belonging to staff of the polytechnic.

Dr. Justina Kotso apealed to the investigative committee to carryout a thorough exercise with a view to forestalling re-occurence as according to her, the crisis in the polytechnic was one too many.
