NASS Roof Saga: FCDA Attributes Leakage To Blockage Of Drainages

The Federal Capital Development Authority says its findings on the National Assembly roof Leakage is traceable to blockage of drainages leading to seepage of water through expansion joints in the roof slab.

This is contained in a statement by the Head, Public Relations & Information of FCDA, Mr Richard Nduul, in Abuja.

The statement which says Management of the National Assembly approached FCDA for a total rehabilitation of the Complex in 2019, maintains that the full waterproofing of the roof is a major aspect of the proposed renovation.

The statement also says efforts will be made to make the NASS complex like other Parliamentary Buildings around the globe.

The statement which further States that the contract is undergoing procurement processes in line with the Procurement Act of 2007, assures that the project will be executed meticulously to ensure that the Nation gets value for the funds that will be expended on the project.
