NANS Expresses Concern Over Decay, Insecurity In Education Sector

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS wants the Federal Government to be more proactive in addressing the decay and insecurity threatening educational institutions as well as the country.

The National President of NANS Comrade Asefon Sunday made the call during his Inauguration as NANS President in Abuja.

Comrade Sunday who decried the Incessant industrial action and infrastructural decay in the nation’s educational institutions especially higher institutions said he would engage government and other stakeholders to revive the sector.

The NANS president emphasized the need for government to convene a security summit to profer solutions to challenges of insecurity especially kidnapping in secondary schools to prevent the criminals from moving to higher institutions.

Comrade Sunday promised to always uphold the rights of students at all times.
