The Emir of Keffi, Shehu Chindo Yamusa wants religious leaders to be on the vanguard of promoting peace and unity in the country.
He made the call when a delegation of the First Baptist Church Keffi paid him a visit in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Chindo Yamusa applauded the contributions of the church in Keffi and its environs in inculcating good morals through western and religious teachings.
In his words, “the Baptist church moulded children to be obedient, because any child that knows the word of God will not be wayward, he will be gentle, he will think and he will know The needful.
Secondly, you brought western education, you can’t quantify knowledge, anyone who wants to quantify knowledge is a liar, only God knows all.
Baptist school in Keffi had contributed immensely in producing vibrant Nigerians who had served in various capacities and contributed positively to national development.”
The Emir of Keffi who pledged to rule with the fear of God charged Nigerians not to relent in prayers for their leaders for the nation to remain an indivisible entity.
In his remark the minister in charge, First Baptist church Keffi, Reverend Taiwo Samuel promised that the church would not relent in prayers and would not engage in acts inimical to peaceful coexistence of the nation.
A member of the delegation who is also the chairman anniversary committee of the church, Doctor Samson Adegoke urged Nigerians to impact positively in the lives of others for a better society.
